Hi,

I have started synapse with docker and apparently everything is running fine. I have been able to register a workflow from the UI but I'm unable to use synctl.

I execute the following as read in the documentation:

synctl config set-api synapse-local --server=http://localhost:8080

But get-apis returns nothing:

synctl config get-apis
CURRENT NAME

and when I try to execute a workflow it says the following:

% synctl workflow run greeter --namespace default --version 0.1.0 --input '{\"user\":{\"firstName\":\"John\",\"lastName\":\"Doe\"}}'
Error: The server is not configured. Please ensure that your server configuration is correctly set.

To configure the server, follow these steps:

1. Verify that your configuration file is present and correctly formatted.
2. Set the server configuration using the appropriate command, for example:
   synctl config set-api your-api-name --server=https://your-server-address --token=your_access_token

Hint: You can check your current configuration with:
   synctl config get-apis

I have also tried setting a token in set-api

synctl config set-api synapse-local --server=http://localhost:8080 --token h0v0fixhkg9z4bgtxele7892x9sjtw7o

with the token present in synapse/deployments/docker-compose/config/tokens.yaml

What I'm missing?

That's wierd indeed, that sounds like a bug, which Im unable to repro. May I ask you on which platform you are running? Are you using alpha5.12?

You are right, it looks like a bug. I'm using an Apple M1 Pro. The issue happens with the 5.12 version. I have downloaded the 5.11 just for testing, and in this case it works. With the 5.11 set-api and get-api works.

Oh woaw, nothing changed on synctl between 5.11 and 5.12, so thats really wierd. I'll investigate, but I don't have a Mac to try and repro. Fingers crossed

@antback Did you find any more clues on what's going on? I did not find any problem here. Maybe a permission issue?
