How to get the /data (installation) directory of the app?

I just need to get the "installation directory" of the app. There seems to be the internal data directory in the crate, but it'll be used for storage-only purposes.

I've looked at this question, but it looks like these APIs aren't available in android-activity.

The value of the getFilesDir() function should be propagated all the way to internal_data_path(), have you tried that?

EDIT: Looks like you already found that references /data/data rather than /data/app in #205. I mentioned Android's asset system there which might be more relevant for you.

Separately we should update the documentation for these functions rather than copying the description verbatim from vague Android docs.
