Act only in response to my asr

Hi, I'm trying to write a background app to run constantly while Temi run's other functions.

In this app I have basic command using asr and wakeup() such as;
Follow me
Stop Following me
Go to "x"

This works perfectly in app but when I put into the background, when I ask it to go to "x" it's own built in location navigator takes over, is there a way to turn this off? Or circumvent it?

The app is the home app

I have now noticed that the app isn't working in the background at all, and these are just the base commands. Is there away for an app to run in the background with another app?

An additional issue too.

Temi will speak when the app is open but not when its in the background... Is there a fix for this too?
