Changing email address of Google account creates additional Rietveld user #544

I've changed the email address of my Google account from [email protected] to [email protected] and this had the effect of leaving my old Rietveld user (nickname "roubert") inaccessible and creating a new Rietvield user (nickname "fredrik1") that is disconnected from the old:

What can I do to resolve this situation?
