When applying the hpc-compute profile to a machine, tuned-adm verify reported errors and the log showed:
hpc-compute
tuned-adm verify
ERROR tuned.plugins.base: verify: failed: 'vm.min_free_kgbytes' = '225280', expected '135168'
Looking in dmesg I found this:
[1301733.791460] khugepaged: raising min_free_kbytes from 135168 to 225280 to help transparent hugepage allocations
Looking at the comment at https://github.com/redhat-performance/tuned/blob/889387b0001b783514523162de21af406e31a549/profiles/hpc-compute/tuned.conf#L20C4-L20C19 I'd assume the larger value from khugepaged is actually better? And the setting really wants to be ">=135168", not that that's an option.
