In your security considerations, consider referencing RFC 9000's and in particular https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9000#section-21.9.

I'm thinking of the additional workload that an IMMEDIATE_ACK could cause if the recipient decided to queue up work, and the recommendations that https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9000#section-21.9-4 makes wrt giving up on such naughty clients.
