Silly question but could (do?) the icons in the bottom change if there ARE existing comments. Like outline of a bubble if there arent any yet, but solid if they exist?

If you're going to vibe-code this, I think the way to do it is to teach Quarto 2's Pass-1 processing to check for the presence of comments, so that the component that's rendering the button doesn't have to process the entire document to get the answer
