Missing translations

Some content is still not localizable. This list compiles the missing content I noticed untranslatable. Everything is open to discussion 😄

• Package classifiers (open discussion here Translate classifiers #6882)
• "Locale updated" banner when switching language
• Status message "All Systems Operational" in the footer (see Missing translations #7455 (comment))
• Size units (kB, GB etc.)
• "Released: " in the package details page header
• "Our sponsors" page
• "Terms of use" and "Maintenance page" mirro as discussed in Localise mirror page, terms of use #6565
• Sponsor categories in footer
• .txt files (plaintext emails and email subjects)

I fixed the "locale updated" flash message in #7452.

The status message is loaded on the frontend from StatusPage so will probably not be localizable.

Some of these are due to #6825 as well.

It's not, these strings come from an API call to an external service that happens with client-side JavaScript:

Any way to make "Our sponsors" page content available for translation?

Unfortunately we can't currently translate the sponsor descriptions.

Additionally plaintext emails and email subjects are not being translated because .txt files are not being searched for translations:
