Type 'PerceptibleMacro' does not conform to protocol 'MemberMacro'

Hello team,
I’m encountering a compile-time error when using PerceptibleMacro in Xcode 26:

📌 Context
• This issue did not occur on Xcode 16 but started appearing after upgrading to Xcode 26.
• It appears that the macro implementation is missing a required MemberMacro protocol method introduced or enforced in newer Swift toolchains.
• The project uses swift-syntax and macros internally, and this seems to be a result of updated protocol requirements in the Swift compiler.

📦 Version
• swift-composable-architecture 1.22.3
• swift-perception 2.0.8 <<- error occurs

✅ Expected Behavior
The macro should conform to MemberMacro without compilation error, or the macro should be updated to provide the required method as per the latest Swift specification.

Could you confirm whether this is a known compatibility issue with Swift in Xcode 26, and whether there’s a plan to update the macro implementation?

Hi @dasole21, this is working fine for me so you will need to provide more info. At the very least please provide what version of swift-syntax your project is using, and even better would be if you could share a minimal project that reproduces this problem.

I checked my setup again, and it turns out the issue was caused by the version of swift-syntax I was using.

✅ Before (error occurred): swift-syntax version 509.0.2
✅ After updating to: swift-syntax version 509.1.1 → the issue no longer occurs.

Looks like this was resolved in the newer version of swift-syntax.
