Dropped broadcom-sta-dkms in HWE iso.
I reckon that it might be missed in somewhere of progress.
I recommend the higher version for the kernel 7.0 (broadcom-sta-dkms-29).
This is the must item for Intel MackBook users.
your message is not very clear
broadcom-sta-dkms is 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.1 in noble (base of mint 22.x)
I suppose you mean you want to backports 6.30.223.271-29ubuntu1 from resolute
Firstly , It doesn't have any kind of broadcom-sta-dkms in 22.3 HWE iso whereas the standard 22.3 ISO supports it..
Secondly, Yes, Noble goes with broadcom-sta-dkms-23.
But, Linux Mint 22.3 support Kernel 7.0 and it needs broadcom-sta-dkms-29,
So that I recommend broaddom-sta-dkms-29 as default package for 22.3 HWE iso.
first of all it would be better if you keep the real name of package (broadcom-sta-dkms) and specify the full version because by writing like that many people might not understand that you mean part of the revision in the name (for example with 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.1 "6.30.223.271" is the upstream version and "-23ubuntu1.1" the ubuntu revision).
Mint 22.x is based on ubuntu, so except some packages in mint repository near all are from Ubuntu repository and should reported on it.
Before reported should be checked if already reported and in this case if there is a work in progress for now upload, from a fast look in https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta there is a new upload in proposed (6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2) that backport of patches for compability for newer kernel and may solve your issue.
Test it and report (in this case in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta/+bug/2120508 ) may help to check of the issue is solved there is no regression and can be migrated to stable repository.
When migrated will be included in next ubuntu 24.04.x and in next hwe iso Mint will released based on it.

I suppose broadcom-sta-dkms is missed in 22.3 HWE because for now is not compatible with kernel used in it and will cause issue if included and on package install will fails on kernel module build with dkms.
The workaround for now is install from the base iso and after install newer broadcom-sta-dkms from proposed repo before install hwe kernel.
