Latest working Twitch version is 19.1.0?

I tried patching a number of Twitch single APK versions using the latest revanced-cli-5.0.0 and patches-5.8.1
I excluded versions after 20.2.1 because they are only published in bundle format.
But all* versions between 19.2.0 and 20.2.1 give an error during the "Compiling modified resources" phase, so the latest version I was able to patch was 19.1.0, which appears to work correctly so far.

Here's the error messages for 20.2.1:

I think they look very similar.

* Note that I didn't test all versions between those two, I just did a binary search to focus in on the latest working version.

Is this expected?
Am I doing anything wrong?
If it's correct, can someone set the "suggested version" for Twitch to 19.1.0? That would save a lot of time for others.

Twitch has been somewhat neglected because nobody who cares enough about twitch is actively updating the patches.

Yes it appears versions after 19.10 fail due to resource compilation problems. Setting the recommended to 19.10 would be helpful.

The settings menu is still missing and needs a patch update.

The patches work on any version, it's an issue with the compilation of the resources. Perhaps bumping the internal android framework sdk used for the resources (aka bumping androlib) could fix the issue
