The popup should explicitly say that the task is being cancelled.

New text suggestion:

Do you want to cancel this task?

For the record we're not cancelling the task (e.g. like a rollback). We're stopping it, ASAP, if possible.

As far as I understand it: A task is a process yet to be completed. And if it shows up in that list I should be able to stop/cancel that, before it is done.

Maybe it's mostly a matter of translational semantics. The current German wording is somewhat ambiguous:

Möchten Sie diese Aufgabe so schnell wie möglich beenden?

Beenden can have many different meanings in this context (finish/stop/cancel)

But even the current English wording sounds to me like I would have the option to somehow make the task finish faster. To speed up the execution and not stopping it. Do you know what I mean?

We should mostly warn that the contribution will be lost if you cancel a photo upload or edit task.

Especially when the tasks says "photo upload has not started yet" I thought I could manually trigger the upload by pressing that button 😅

But happy to close if I'm the only one confused by the language.

@stephanegigandet this is one of these issues where a decision should be made quickly (either close as not fixed or change the language) because otherwise it will not go anywhere :)
