How to save index to file?

Hi, I am probably doing something stupid here, so the issue is probably with me and not the code, but anyways: When I run create_index.sh, the data are loaded into ElasticSearch as it should, and mordecai3 can access them and work properly. However, the index is not written to any file and geonames_index is still empty. What is going wrong?
