# OpenCode Revamp 💻
2+
3+

4+
5+
> ***Website design*** is an extremely crucial aspect as it determines the very first impression we make on our audience. It impacts how our audience perceives us and this impression can either get them to remain on our page or leave it.
6+
7+

8+
9+
Through this repository, you will be able to revamp and redesign certain sections of the OpenCode website and use your design skills and instincts to transform these sections and improve the User Interface.

## Common Guidelines:
40+
41+
- The Repository is divided into several tasks. Each task will be opened subsequently for a limited amount of time and all the submissions have to be made within those allotted days only. NO submission will be accepted after the allotted time ends. The details for the specific tasks and the time allotted for each can be found in their specific folders.
42+
- The submissions will be judged by the mentors and points will be allotted by them for each particular task based on various aspects and intricacies of design like design thinking process, originality of the idea, visual appeal of the submission, etc.
43+
- Since everyone should be awarded for their efforts, the participants who qualify the **Minimum Design Criteria (MDC)**, which will be mentioned in the respective folders of the task once the submission duration begins, will be awarded **Full Points🎉**.
44+
45+
46+
47+

48+
49+
> ALL THE FINAL DECISIONS FOR THE JUDGEMENT AND AWARDING OF POINTS ⚖️ BASED ON THE SUBMISSION RESIDE WITH THE MENTORS & ORGANISERS.
50+
> No claim can be made on the number of points awarded by the Mentors & Organisers🙂.
51+

## **Contribution:**
55+
56+
We welcome your contributions. Please follow the below guidelines while contributing to this project:
57+
58+
1. Fork the repository and clone locally.
59+
2. Create an upstream remote and sync your local copy before you branch. See detailed instructions [here](https://help.github.com/articles/syncing-a-fork)
60+
3. Create separate branches for each separate piece of work.
61+
4. Do the work and commit changes with good commit messages.
62+
5. Once you are confident in your work, create a pull request to the `main` branch of upstream repository with proper descriptions explaining what you did and wait until we review it.

## Task 1: First Section Redesign
2+
The submission duration for this task has begun 🎉
3+
This issue is OPEN TO ALL.
4+
No need to claim this issue.
5+
NO SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 7th October 11:59 PM.
6+
7+
This is our OpenCode Website: [https://opencodeiiita.github.io/](https://opencodeiiita.github.io/)
8+
9+
Your first task is to redesign the footer section of the website. The only constraint is the original info should be contained on your redesigned footer. Apart from that, there is no rule! You have complete design freedom, showcase your creativity, and improve this section 🙂
10+
11+
The task needs to be done in Figma. Figma is free to use and downloading it is also optional. You can use the browser version of Figma in case you don't want to download it. If you are unclear on how to use it, check the tutorial here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2o9CIdL6Q0&list=PLDtHAiqIa4wa5MBbE_XDoqY51sAkQnkjt&index=21](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2o9CIdL6Q0&list=PLDtHAiqIa4wa5MBbE_XDoqY51sAkQnkjt&index=21)
12+
13+
**Procedure:**
14+
15+
1. The color scheme should remain the same, if you are changing it, it should go well with the rest of the website.
16+
2. The original information needs to be present in the redesigned footer. You can add any new information which you feel should be present
17+
3. Create the footer in a Figma file and export it as png. Create PR by submitting the PNG in Task 1: First Section Redesign folder ONLY.
18+
19+
**MDC (Minimum Design Criteria)**:
20+
21+
The footer should obviously look like a footer and not like any other section of the website. The changes made to the folder must be significant.
22+
23+
In case you have any doubts related to the task or the submission process, you can always ping us on [discord](https://discord.gg/Sz2zs44A). Use the tag @OpenCode-Revamp to notify the mentors. We will be happy to help.
