You are all warmly invited to our 2022 meeting which will be hosted online on the 31st August and 1st of September.
After the challenges of the pandemic, this meeting will be a forum for re-engaging with the OTN and reaffirming our goals for gathering trait data across all organisms. The messages of the OTN have resonated with the global research community, with our paper in Nature Ecology & Evolution being cited more than 100 times since its publication in 2020. OTN membership has almost doubled since 2020, and we are excited to hear from new members about their work!
To (re)build momentum, this 2-day OTN meeting will be centred around sharing updates on your trait-based projects from across the world and progressing plans for new analyses about spatial gaps in trait-based knowledge globally. We are planning to meet for 3 hours each day (alternating between time slots most suited to North American and European time zones) and will be seeking speakers to give 10-minute presentations about new resources (e.g., datasets, pipelines, protocols, packages).
