Weird little thing that spawns a discrete, finite sequence of softcut hops.

micro_event_clk = clock.run(micro_event);

function micro_event(unit)
  local points = {};
  local inc = 1;
  local speed = math.random(2,16);
  local event_length = math.random(2,8);
  for i=1,event_length do
    points[i] = math.random(set[unit].head,set[unit].tail)
    inc = inc + 1
    clock.sync(1/speed)
    for i=1,2 do
      sc.position(i,points[inc])
    end
  end
end
