Help request: cannnot get date and wordcount/reading-time to display on article

I've git pulled a new copy of the theme as per instructions and am moving blog articles over from an old site that wouldn't update properly. Article date, wordcount and readingtime come up blank. Scratching my head on this one...
Note: Views, likes and zenmode (and authors) do all appear as expected.
