Do you get the 'referring application' passed to Objektiv?

If so, it may be possible to select a default browser for some applications but not all.
For example, I'm working on a personal computer instead of using my work computer.

I use Chrome for work, I use safari for personal.
If I open a link from Chrome, Outlook, Excel, Word or Teams then I expect it to use Chrome.
Otherwise I'd like it to use Safari.

Thanks for filing this issue, that's an interesting idea. I assume this would require maintaining a table of sorts, mapping applications to preferred browser.

There's a couple of clarifications one would need to do first to tackle this one:

  • Find out whether our current approach allows identifying the "source application"
  • Come up with a suitable UX for the mapping
  • How to add the mappings? Manually mapping applications to browser? Notification with a request choose upon first "click"?

If anyone wants to jump in, go for it!
