Auto upload not working - response to call for debug help

Steps to reproduce

Install debug version of the app referenced here: #16550

Login to my Nexcloud instance

Change auto-upload settings

• Include photos and videos from the Camera folder
• Change server location
• turn on the year/month subfolders

Expected behaviour

Everything uploads according to the settings I've set

Actual behaviour

Videos upload correctly

Photos - nothing happens (previously this was working, but with the usual issues of failed uploads not restarting etc.)

From the images you can see that Nexcloud can find the images of the bike parts, but isn't uploading them, and they haven't already been uploaded as they would appear at the top of the Media list

Files have been uploaded - "Nextcloud Android Files Logs - issue 16802.txt"
I don't appear to have permissions to add the "feature: auto upload" label to this issue

@sandyscott Hi, thanks for the report. Were any pictures uploaded to a remote path previously? You mentioned changing the server location, and when I checked the logs, I saw this message:

For example, if you initially configured a local folder (like “Camera”) to upload to a remote folder (e.g., “RemoteCamera”), those pictures will be uploaded. If you change the remote path after those pictures have been uploaded to a different folder, the previously uploaded files won’t be uploaded again, as the system considers them already handled.

Could you confirm if this is what happened? Or are newly taken pictures also not being uploaded after changing the remote path for the same auto-upload configuration?

I've been using it mostly successfully for some time now, thousands of images had been uploaded previously.

However, before I started testing with the debug version I did a fresh install of the client (it wouldn't allow the app from the f-droid store to be updated, so I uninstalled it from the store, then installed the debug version the APK).

None of the images after 15th March to 4th April have been uploaded - they are not in the default "InstantUpload" folder either. Videos have been uploaded, though mostly into the InstantUpload folder*

Incidentally, it has now started uploading again, but hasn't backfilled the missing images. It was also very slow to start - I took some photos on the 5th (in my house, on Wifi) but they weren't uploaded until the 6th.

There is also an image stuck in the queue for no apparent reason - (phone has wifi, power saver is off, good battery, no battery optimization)

*This is another (albeit smaller) issue - you can't adjust the folder settings before enabling the upload - they're greyed out. So you turn on the uploads, and it immediately starts uploading to the InstantUpload folder, and even once I'd changed the folder setting it continued to upload - the queue hadn't been reset or adjusted to use the new folder setting.
