It seems to be working also with newer versions, e.g., 5.7.0 in my case:

Hi Jan! The version 5.2.2 comes from me. In April, when I tried to install Slicer, some extensions/modules (ex JupySlicer) made the app crash. In the Internet, there was some forum saying that the most stable version at the time was the 5.2.2 so I have tested on it initially. Since then, I hope some bugs with most recent versions have been corrected. To be tested with most recent versions.

Now outdated. From recent team discussion, the actual version of Slicer to be used by SlicerCART is version Slicer version 5.6.2
