Strange behaviour with site filter when searching for interfaces in ip address assignment

With netbox v4.4.5 there is a strange behaviour for me when i want to assign an ip address to an interface.

I create a new device based on an already created device type. Then I want to assign an ip address to the interface of that device.
When searching for the device I first filter by site, but there are no interfaces listed for that device.

When I search for the device, without the site, it shows the interfaces.

When I edit the device (not the interface itself) again and save it without changing anything, the interface shows event with the site filter.

Could anyone please check if this is reproducable on any other environment?
