err_connection_refused and git issues

Hi,
I have an Issue with netbox at the moment.
It suddenly stopped providing the webinterface giving the "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED" response
I tried updating the local netbox installation from 4.3.1. to 4.4.4, but I encounter errors with git.

sudo git fetch --tags
fatal: couldn't find remote ref refs/heads/master

sudo git pull
fatal: couldn't find remote ref refs/heads/master

git branch -a
* (HEAD detached from v4.3.1)
  master
  remotes/origin/master

sudo git status
HEAD detached from v4.3.1
Untracked files:
  (use "git add <file>..." to include in what will be committed)
        .cache/
        netbox-4.2.2
        netbox/netbox/nextbox-ui-plugin/

git tag shows as latest version availiable 4.3.1
I am not very confident with git and don't know how to fix this

okay, the git issue was solved.
I had to

sudo git config --unset-all remote.origin.fetch

The Webinterface error still exists.
Going to the http://hostname.internaldomain:8000 gives the ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED error
Where would I need to start looking?

Okay.
I assume the standard ports changed at one time?
I am using a local installation of netbox.
now on v4.4.4 I can access the netbox webinterface under https only.
writing your issues out seems to help.
