Since a few days I have repeatedly the following issue with Github:

  • I have changes on my fork -> Github tells me I'm x commits ahead of master (musselwhizzle/Focus-Points:master.)
  • I push the commit and merge them to master
  • as soon as this has happened, Github tells me I'm 1 commit behind of master (preceding pull request)
  • If I'm trying to resolve this by merging it back on my branch then again, I'm 1 commit ahead.

Can you advise what did wrong and what I need to do to escape from this ping-pong?

Many thanks !!!
