If that setting is for counsel's version of find-file, it's not relevant to consult which does not have a find-file. Consult users just use the built-in find-file, and for that built-in command M-n should bring up the file at point. In other words,the effect of that setting (if I understand it correctly) is built-in to Emacs with no configuration needed. |

Here is the use case. I have a file open that looks like this:
When my cursor is over any portion of file1.txt and I run counsel-find-file it uses file1.txt as the first option for suggestion/completion. This is very convenient and fast. This assumes I have Consult currently does not do that and I would like it to do that. |
