Error in virtualenv creation causes tree to be outdated

Testing #457

1. Create a new environment in the [multiroot repo](https://github.com/eleanorjboyd/python-envs-scenarios), picking one of the workspaces
2. There'll be a failure when it goes to install dependencies since hatchling tries to look for a readme.md, that's fine
3. 🐛 the virtualenv is created but not shown in the environment managers/Python projects view until you manually refresh them
