Release management with git tags and GitHub releases

Thanks for the work on this project!

I've noticed that Github repo doesn't have tags or releases since 2.3.0 yet PyPI has the 2.3.7 release.

Can you please update GitHub with these tags and ideally releases?

Using git metadata makes packaging for downstream distributions (e.g. NixOS) much easier and secure as tags are pinned to source code commit revisions and offers better transparency vs PyPi.

Yes you're right, I use to update the tags when there are meaningfull changes, but I should do it more often, because it really lags behind.

Will probably do a release soon, currently trying to catch up with dev as I've had some turbulences in life recently ;)
