The ExecuteScriptMarkLogic Processor (1.8.0.3) requires incoming flow file hence an incoming connection is required.
There are use-cases where ExecuteScriptMarkLogic Processor starts a flow hence I will suggest modifying the code to make incoming flow file is optional.
