not in the project-directories.
avoid chdir into project-directories.

  • build results must be placed in the project dir due to some other tools like gcover.
  • compiling in the project dir simplifies/shortens the command line.
  • chdir is necessary for e.g. shell commands, which are relative to the project directory.
  • building in project dir (or in a subdir of the project) is the standard way of Eclipse / Visual Studio / etc...
  • I vote for wontfix and close. Or do you have a real reason for that which makes this necessary?
