I have a Samsung Q990D soundbar connected to a LG G4.
I've noticed that, when controlling the remote on my mobile (haven't yet tested for desktop), I am able to control the volume via HDMI (eArc) normally, but the buttons will lose control over the volume if I switch source (such as from HDMI 1 to Live TV). Switching back to the original source (HDMI 1) does not fix it, nor does turning off the TV or changing the sound output.
The fix I found was that by force restarting the mobile HA app (e.g. swiping up on iPhone to force exit and re-opening the HA app), the remote will regain volume control functionality for the soundbar. But it will lose it again as soon as you switch sources, meaning you will have to constantly force restart the HA app every time you switch channels.
Curious if anyone else is running into this issue and/or if it can be fixed.
