If you are editing a post and leave the edit screen open, typically when someone else "takes over" editing of the post, you see a screen like this:
The problem is that if you continue to leave your edit screen open and the 2nd person finishes their editing job, eventually your screen will return to normal and you can continue to edit the post, only the version you are editing is now out of date. When you save, you will overwrite whatever the second person did.
As a workaround, editors should be asked to close out all edit screens immediately once they are done with their edits.
We'll hold on going further with this issue for now as we've asked the team to adjust their behavior by closing edit tabs immediately after editing. Hopefully this is sufficient to stop the issue at least until we get full co-editing from Gutenberg.

Gutenberg is currently being developed to allow for co-editing, many people editing at the same time like Google Docs. This will make this issue moot.
