mysql container: chown: changing ownership of '/var/lib/mysql/': Operation not permitted

Hi 👋,

(this is probably not a lima specific question, but i'm taking my chances here :))

I keep getting this error from the mysql container

lamp-mysql          | chown: changing ownership of '/var/lib/mysql/': Operation not permitted

I'm using this path as the mysql data dir

MYSQL_DATA_DIR=/Users/unloco/lima/mysql

And in the compose.yml file it's something like this

  mysql:
    image: mysql
    volumes:
      - ${MYSQL_DATA_DIR}:/var/lib/mysql

The /Users/unloco/code/lima folder has these permissions

Inside the lima folder

ls -la lima/
total 0
drwxrwxrwx   3 unloco  staff    96 Dec 11 11:43 .
drwxrwxrwx  51 unloco  staff  1632 Nov 12 19:35 ..
drwxrwxrwx   2 unloco  staff    64 Dec 11 11:42 mysql

When I run docker compose

I don't know how to fix this, I searched but nothing worked

Do I need to add a certain user to the "staff" group?
Or maybe run the containers as my current user?
