[Bug]: emulated wiimote remains active after switching back to gamecube controller #446

Description

@bgemmill

Platform

Linux

Renderer

OpenGL/OpenGLES

Game exhibiting the issue

Mario Kart / New Super Mario Brothers

Describe the issue

It appears emulated Wiimotes remain active even after switching emulated controller type to gamecube controller, causing the same controller to be registered twice.

How to reproduce:

Playing Mario Kart with emulated GC controllers off a fresh install of the dolphin core will work correctly.

Switching to New Super Mario Brothers and picking emulated Wiimote (sideways) will work correctly.

Switching back to Mario Kart and picking emulated GC controllers will keep the emulated Wiimotes active. This is most obvious in multiplayer modes; when a player attempts to join, their controller will be registered twice: once as a GC controller and once as a Wiimote.

The only fix appears to be to switch all controllers back to "None", reloading the game, and then picking GC controllers again.

~/.var/app/org.libretro.RetroArch/config/retroarch/logs appears empty; please let me know where to look.
