MCP support

Hi love to see MCP support here as basic MCP-over-IMAP falls short in many cases, and there are cases AI doesn't work very well when given rudimentary tools to access IMAP.

If anyone is interested I might create a PR for it as I need it for my own use anyway, but gauging the interest here before launching a multi day crusade. Thanks.

I just discovered this tool and was thinking about doing the same. I think adding MCP to mimic user behaviour on already existing filters would be pretty cool. I am interested, but it'll take me some time to contribute.

I personally don't have any such plans right now, imapfilter is pretty much on maintenance mode...

If someone wants to create a separate repo to implement an MCP server in a separate repo, it would be great and we could link to it from the wiki.

I actually studied this issue a bit and think it's not a good fit, due to expected functions. MCP is expected to return decoded (base64 or quoted-printable) data and in case of attachment, something readable (ideally pdf attachment is also provided with text version), which would be very fat for imapfilter, you are looking at adding lots of build dependencies. So I am forcking a python tool instead https://github.com/SmartLayer/imap-mcp
