It makes sense that computed fields don't show up on forms since you can't input a computed field.. however in my case I need to display it even though it's readonly. Basically I want to make a BelongsTo field readonly, but as it is the BelongsTo is extremely slow to display the data, it does the same huge query and loads ALL the possible values of BelongsTo even though it's readonly!! Which to me sounds like it's broken.. it shouldn't load that huge query if the field is readonly to begin with, it should just load the ONE value since the value can't be changed due to the readonly flag. As an alternative I tried making a computed text field that loads the belongsTo relation and shows the name. But that doesn't work either because it's invisible on forms. How to address this? Thanks! |
