How to decrypt ssh key?

I added a SSH key with rootshell on macOS, which works as expected.

The key syncs to my iPad as expected.

However, when I try to use the key on iPad, I get the message:

This key is encrypted. Please provide the passphrase to decrypt it.

But can’t see any way to enter the passphrase.

It feels like I must be missing something obvious… but how do I enter the passphrase for a key which has synced?

There shouldn't be anything special needed. So that I can investigate was this a key created elsewhere that was in an encrypted state and then imported to rootshell? What key type? And finally on the device you imported on what were the storage and authentication settings?

@rowatt This does appear to be related to importing existing keys for use with iCloud syncing. The workaround for now would be the decrypt the key first and then re-import. It will still be securely stored in the iCloud synced keychain. I'll otherwise get a fix out for this soon.

@kitknox I assume it’s moot now, but it’s a id_ed25519 key created elsewhere and imported into rootshell on macOS as an encrypted key. The workaround will be fine for now (relieved that I wasn’t missing something obvious!), and I look forward to the fix. While I am here - great app, thank you!
