Syzkaller support (reproducers from LTP?)

While syzbot already runs syzkaller tests regularly, some additional tests can also be run on hardware available in KernelCI. Enabling syzkaller tests to run in LAVA test-definitions in particular would facilitate that greatly.

Hi, I was hoping you could help clarify the following:

1. Would the stable kernels being tested have CONFIG_KASAN set?

2. Does the infrastructure currently have support for running tast tests unmodified?
   We currently have a tast test that runs syzkaller reproducers(for KVM) against devices(https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/platform/tast-tests/+/HEAD/src/chromiumos/tast/remote/bundles/cros/syzcorpus/). IIUC syzkaller reproducers were never merged into LTP.

There aren't any KernelCI builds with CONFIG_KASAN=y at the moment but that can be enabled easily.

We're working on it, for the chromeos.kernelci.org instance and Chromebooks in Collabora's LAVA lab. It's not quite ready yet but we're very close to running some experimental Tast jobs. It might take a few weeks before this is fully supported.

That sounds like a great alternative to the LTP approach, thank you for mentioning it here. Maybe syzkaller reproducers in LTP are one of these things that reside in the future and will stay there forever. If it does get merged it would be easier to deploy on a wider variety of platforms though. I guess both are worth considering.

Sounds great, thanks. We are planning on extending the tast test to include syzkaller repros for more subsystems as time passes, so it would be great if the tast test could eventually be run on the Chromebooks in Collabora's LAVA lab.
