Output monitor audio to HDMI

I know it says in the intro that this functionality is possible but I can't seem to get it to work at all with my limited knowledge of the Pi. When I look in the raspi-config, I only get my usb microphone listed as an audio interface, there's no option to select a different one for the output, not even one of the native Pi ports. When i list the audio devices then again there's only the microphone and no onboard devices.

Hi @Klonx,

You can use an HDMI video monitor (instead of running headless with web browser UI).

I believe you can simply plug the HDMI cable into the correct port (next to USB-C connector), possibly make an hdmi mode change in config.txt, and reboot. You should not use raspi-config.

However, you'll still need to use an audio interface for audio in & out. HDMI audio is not supported in this application.
