2025 Q3 Budget

This vote is to approve a discretionary spending budget of $4,350 for Q3 (July-September 2025) as discussed in https://github.com//orgs/json-schema-org/discussions/911 and the May 19 OCWM. See the discussion for details on how we decided on this number.

The goal for this quarter is to focus on supporting a couple of key areas that we think will make the most impact and tell the best story to encourage further donations.

Greg - $300/month - Spec development services
Jason - $300/month - Spec development services
Onyedikachi - $500/month - Community management services
Grants - $350/month - Community members apply to be considered quarterly

Those being paid for their services will provide an invoice at the end of each month for their work done that month. (Example: Invoice on August 1 for work done in July.)

We don't have a grants process in place yet to receive/review proposals and award grants. There are also steps we need to take with OpenCollective to be approved to legally give grants. Despite not being ready yet, I'm leaving "Grants" in the budget for Q3 mostly because there wasn't an alternative proposed and I want to get this budget approved in time for Q3. If we can get grants figured out in time, we can still use those funds in Q3. If not, we can discuss whether to roll those funds into additional grants for Q4 or let them go into surplus for now.
