Synchronization issue using SMB protocol

Hey guys, I have to say I’m desperate here. I decided to sync ~225GB of files using the SMB protocol, and it filled up my HDD with cache.

But the sync using this protocol is extremely slow!!! I’m on a local wired network, 1 GBPS.

I went through the cache to check, but it’s just a bunch of binary files spread across several directories, and I couldn't find any way to restore them.

Does anyone know what to do besides me crying?

Every time I start Mountain Duck, the sync begins at around 15 MB/sec, but then it gradually drops to just 300 KB/sec. I think this might be due to some kind of resume mechanism.

• I was using the latest stable version.
• I updated to version 4.17.3 because it seemed like there was a fix for this issue.

• I imagine the issue is happening because of large files. For small files, the solution works reasonably well, but for large files, the sync speed drops to a painfully slow level.
• No proxy
• No bandwidth limitation

• Wired connection

• Unfortunately, my NAS only supports the SMB protocol. When I send files directly to it without using Mountain Duck, the speed is excellent. (If I had a way to restore the cache back to regular files, I’d transfer them directly.)

The local synchronization cache is obfuscated, and the cache files can only be accessed within the mounted drive. You can recover unsynchronized files from the cache by moving them from the mounted drive to a different place on your local disk.
