BUG: GPT-OSS 20B doesn't generate proper code responses

Problem
GPT-OSS 20B doesn't generate proper code responses. There seems to be various issues filed mentioning this indirectly.

Is this model compatible with smolagents?

Same problem with GPT-OSS-120B. I use smolagents 1.23.0 and vLLM 0.11.1 with --reasoning-parser openai_gptoss

I got a lot of

and

Error in code parsing:
expected string or bytes-like object, got 'NoneType'
Make sure to provide correct code blobs.
