Alegreya (including Alegreya Sans) seems to have an incorrect baseline. If you set Alegreya next to, for example, Andada (which has a correct baseline) in a layout program that shows you the baseline grid (e.g., InDesign CS6 in the screen shot below) it’s obvious that Alegreya has a shifted baseline.

I’m suspecting whatever software that was used to calculate the baseline was mistaking the bottom of bowls as where the baseline should be.
I’m not sure how this should be fixed since fixing this will break existing layouts, but the shifted baseline is making it difficult to pair Alegreya with another font outside of the Alegreya superfamily, especially when text is set at large sizes.
