iOS device model, version and app version

Model Name: iPhone 13 Pro Max
Software Version: 18.3
App version: 2025.1073

Home Assistant Core Version
2025.2

Describe the bug

This screenshot is from Carplay from 07.01.2025. It shows, that the new Carplay mode list automatically some things, which are hidden in Home Assistant. This example from the light is original a shelly, and i changed the switch type to light. The hidden switch is visible in Carplay. Also things like reboot the shelly are not necessary in the car.

Expected behavior

I had the idea, that Home Assistant get an new option like the Assist switches for every entity, but now for Carplay. So i can decide if an entity is exposed to carplay or not.

Thanks for the feedback, indeed we currently dont have mapped out in the app if an entity was hidden in the UI or not, so it's displaying everything. It's on my backlog to improve that.

Related to choosing what will appear in CarPlay, this is not on the plans right now, you can choose what displays in the "Quick access" tab, but the rest will display accordingly to what you have in Home Assistant. you can also hide other tabs in CarPlay configuration and leave just the quick access tab with your favorites if you want.

But you could do this and put it on the roadmap. :)

I know, that I could hide other parts. But I think it would be more practical, when first only lights and normal switches would be shown. And device related things are hidden.
