Thanks for your tool as I found it interesting and wanted to use it on our metagenomic long reads, Have download all the reference genomes for bacteria, viral and archaea and concatenated into a single file as "WGS_file.fa", using the command:
bash build-index WGS_file.fa ./index_dir
I realized that the directory size for my index (index_dir) is very large (>500G) and wanted to find out if it is normal or I'm doing something wrong. Running on the server with memory of 200G. Thanks
