Am I correct that this will not work using the angular-cli compile/build process? I am getting a 404 error on the config.json load method. I have had no luck finding any solutions to initializing my app with a local json file. I wish to set the WebAPIUrl before the app launches using a json file. Seems like a reasonable request. Your solution was the closest I've found.

I used this method recently in an ionic 2 project, I'd say it should work with ng cli too. Did you find the tutorial I wrote alongside this repo?

Anyway maybe this gist may help you too, it's more recent but basically the same.
