Thanks for submitting this @drewmullen! This will become even more relevant once managed resources support importing via resource identity (which also uses import config blocks).

We already planned on solving the low hanging fruit which is allowing an import.tf or something similar to be used as an example and automatically added to the docs, with the potential of adding the resource identity schema similar to the resource schema right above it 👍🏻
