Calendar event is created without Hangout

Hi I have defined to auto-add hangout in the ui, yet when creating a calendar event with the CLI it doesn't add the hangout. 
Is it possible to add support for respecting the parameter in the UI? Or at least provide the option in the CLI to add a Google Meet hangout.
