Variable component support

Does fontra support variable component model as detailed in Boring Expansion specs? If yes is there any documentation on how to use it? Will it be useful for creation of a variable weight Hangul font I am working on?
If not supported, is there any plan to support it in fontra later?

yes of course, Variable Components are at the core of Fontra from the begining!
