0.53.0 dynamically linked

Hello.
I noticed that 0.52.1 is statically linked 0.53.0 looks dynamically linked.

cadvisor: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked
cadvisor: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), statically linked

Size is almost the same.
Is there any reason for that?

I'm using Apline Linux and statically linked looks preferable.

Hi,

I believe the difference between the statically and dynamically linked versions comes from the new build process in the GitHub workflow, which now calls build.sh directly and not release.sh.

In the release.sh script, the variable GO_CGO_ENABLED is explicitly set to 0 before the build, which ensures the binaries are statically linked:

GOARCH="$arch" GO_CGO_ENABLED="0" OUTPUT_NAME_WITH_ARCH="true" build/build.sh
