Vendored dependencies listing / upgrade #2672
Description
The discussion in the community about the current vendoring solutions is picking up and it seems that the community will converge towards a solution hopefully by the end of the year.
As a proposal for the solution, is seems this will be the library that can / should be commonly used by vendoring tools to operate https://github.com/sdboyer/gps There are some notes for implementators but I don't know if the plugin wants this: https://github.com/sdboyer/gps/wiki/gps-for-Implementors
My idea for this would be to try and integrate with a couple of tools which are going to be more popular and provide hopefully a UI like the Node / NPM integration does (can it be that the UI can be reused?):
