Mass update/inheritance of SMTP configurations

Proposal

We have faced a challange with updating SMTP configurations. We run a larger amount of clients on our server, and are using our own SMTP server to get a quicker response. The SMTP is connected to an emailaddress, which requires regular password updates. The update of the password then affects all the running sites. It would be great, if It would be possible to update this piece of information from a single entry.
